IATSE Standards
Minimum Call

4-hour minimum call regardless of actual hours worked.

Meal Break - 6-Hour Rule

Meal break MUST be provided within 6 hours of call. Failure triggers approx. 1 hour meal penalty.

Rest Breaks

One 15-minute paid break per 4-hour segment. Two on 8+ hr calls.

Overtime

Straight time hrs 1-8. Time-and-a-half (1.5x) hrs 9-12. Double-time (2x) after 12 hrs.

Turnaround

Minimum 8-hour rest between wrap and next call.

Spread of Hours

If workday spread exceeds 10 hours, employee gets 1 extra hour at minimum wage.

Call-In Pay

Employees who report must receive minimum 4 hours pay at minimum wage.

Sick Leave

NYC: Up to 40 hours paid sick leave. Accrues 1 hr per 30 hrs worked.
